UK statutory holiday entitlement
Most workers are entitled to 5.6 weeks of paid holiday per year. For regular working days, that is weekly days × 5.6, capped at 28 statutory days, even if you work six or seven days a week.
Bank holidays can be included in your allowance; there is no automatic right to extra days off. Enter only bank holidays that fall on your normal working days during your employment and are deducted from, or added to, your allowance. Do not enter a national total automatically.
Part-year figures use inclusive calendar days employed ÷ days in your leave year, allowing for leap years. Hours assume equally long working days. Results are estimates shown to two decimals, not rounded down to whole days. Contract rules, first-year monthly accrual and employer rounding may differ.
This calculator does not cover irregular-hours or part-year workers whose leave accrues at 12.07% of hours worked, variable-length shifts, carry-over or leave already taken.
